Starting something new can feel like a big step, especially when you are not sure what to expect. So we keep it simple. Every new player at Edge FA is welcome to a free first session, with no obligation and nothing to sign up for on the day. Come along, give it a go, and see how it feels. If it is right for your child, brilliant. If not, that is completely fine too.

Edge FA is based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, and we coach players from age 3 upward, girls and boys. All abilities are welcome. Whether your child has never kicked a ball or already plays every weekend, there is a place for them here. Our sessions are run by DBS-checked and FA-qualified coaches who know how to make every player feel settled, included and part of the group from the very first minute.

If you are a nervous first-time parent, here is what to expect. Your child will be greeted warmly, shown where to go, and eased in at their own pace. There is no pressure to be the best, keep up, or already know the rules. The first session really is free, and there is no catch. We simply want your child to enjoy their football and leave with a smile.

Our programmes grow with your child, from their very first touch of the ball in Mini Kicks, for ages 3 to 5, right through to competitive league football. Wherever your child starts, the pathway is there when they are ready for the next step. You do not need to decide any of that now. The free first session is the only thing to think about today.
