Edge Football Academy (“Edge FA”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of every player, parent, and guardian who engages with us. It applies to our website, our coaching and programmes, and our booking and payment processes.

The data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Player details: name, date of birth or age group, gender, and the programmes attended.
Parent or guardian details: name, email address, phone number, and postal address.
Health and welfare information you choose to share, such as medical conditions, allergies, or accessibility needs, so we can keep your child safe during sessions.
Emergency contact details.
Booking and attendance records.
Payment information, processed through our payment provider. We do not store full card details ourselves.

Children’s data
Most of the people we coach are children, and we treat their personal data with particular care. Where a child is under 13, we rely on the consent of a parent or guardian, and registration for our programmes is completed by a parent or guardian. We collect only the information we need to run sessions safely and to keep you informed.

We collect personal data when you register for a programme through our booking provider, contact us by email or through our website, speak with our coaches in person, or make a payment for sessions or kit.
Why we use your data, and our lawful basis
We use personal data to:
Register players and manage bookings and attendance, to perform our agreement with you.
Keep players safe, including responding to medical or welfare needs, as part of our duty of care.
Take payment for sessions, camps, tours, and kit, to perform our agreement with you.
Communicate with parents and guardians about sessions, changes, and academy news, as part of our legitimate interest in running the academy, or with your consent where required.
Meet our legal and safeguarding obligations.
Send marketing or newsletter updates only where you have given consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share your data with
We share personal data only where necessary, with:
Our coaches and staff, so they can run sessions safely.
Class4Kids, our booking platform, which processes registrations and bookings on our behalf.
Stripe, our payment provider, which processes payments securely.
Framer, our website host.
Leagues, county FAs, or competition organisers where participation requires it.
The authorities or relevant agencies where we are required to share information for safeguarding or legal reasons.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it to provide our services, to meet our safeguarding and legal obligations, and to resolve any disputes. When we no longer need it, we delete it securely or anonymise it.
How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep personal data secure and to limit access to those who need it. Our booking and payment providers maintain their own security standards for the data they process on our behalf.
